E-invoicing applied to expense reports in France
From September 1, 2026, the French e-invoicing reform durably changes how companies process expense reports. Here's what you need to know — and how TEVASOFT CONNECT links your certified platform to your expense management tool.
SAP Concur & French e-invoicing: connect your approved platform
Connect your French approved e-invoicing platform to SAP Concur Expense and simplify reconciliation between electronic invoices and business expenses.
Two dates, one threshold, no room for approximation.
The reform also applies to expense reports. Any professional invoice tied to travel — hotel, car rental, restaurant — falls within scope from day one.
September 1, 2026
All companies established in France must be able to receive electronic invoices. Large companies and mid-caps must also issue them.
€150 excl. tax
The threshold that determines the applicable regime for each expense: e-invoicing above, e-reporting below.
September 1, 2027
The obligation to issue electronic invoices extends to SMEs and micro-enterprises.
Three steps, one integration.
CONNECT covers the entire cycle, from invoice reception to injection into your expense management tool.
Multi-format reception
Electronic invoices arrive from your Certified Platform, in Factur-X, UBL and CII formats.
- Factur-X, UBL, CII
- Direct connection to your Certified Platform
- No manual re-entry
Matching & control
Each invoice is matched to the corresponding expense line. Discrepancies, duplicates and inconsistencies are detected automatically.
- Automatic invoice / expense matching
- Discrepancy & duplicate detection
- EVA AI audit as a complementary layer
Injection into your T&E tool
Structured data — VAT by rate, supplier, company ID — is injected into your management tool via API.
- SAP Concur, N2F, Lucca, Cegid
- Open API for any other tool
- Progressive European coverage
From received invoice to usable data.
Reception
The electronic invoice arrives from your Certified Platform.
Matching
CONNECT matches the invoice to the employee's expense line.
AI control
Discrepancies, duplicates and inconsistencies are detected automatically.
Injection
Structured data is pushed to your T&E tool via API.
E-invoicing or e-reporting: which regime for your expense reports?
The reform distinguishes two regimes — and expense reports combine both depending on the amount and context of the expense.
In practice, the same expense report may combine both flows: a €38 meal in e-reporting and a €220 hotel night in e-invoicing. That is precisely the role of TEVASOFT CONNECT — to orchestrate this dual mechanism painlessly for your teams.
E-invoicing (≥ €150 excl. tax)
The supplier issues a structured electronic invoice (Factur-X, UBL or CII) in the company's name. It travels via the Certified Platform and directly feeds the employee's expense report.
E-reporting (< €150 excl. tax)
The receipt remains a ticket or simplified invoice. The company must transmit transaction data to the tax authority via its certified platform — without a formal structured invoice.
Certified Platforms: who does what?
The reform defines two types of platforms:
- The Public Invoicing Portal, operated by the State, serves as a directory and minimal public portal.
- The Partner Dematerialization Platforms (Certified Platforms), private and registered by the tax authority, manage the issuance, receipt, transformation and archiving of electronic invoices on behalf of companies.
TEVASOFT CONNECT is not a Certified Platform: it is the intelligent integration layer between your Certified Platform and your expense management tool.
Beyond France: the European context
France is not alone. The ViDA (VAT in the Digital Age) initiative from the European Commission is pushing all member states toward structured e-invoicing and e-reporting. Italy paved the way with SdI, Poland is rolling out KSeF, Spain and Germany follow their own timelines.
For multi-country groups, this means one thing: you need an integration point capable of absorbing these heterogeneous regimes on the expense report side. That is the mission of TEVASOFT CONNECT — whatever the country of invoice issuance, your T&E tool receives clean, normalized, compliant data.
