E-invoicing 2026: the checklist for the final weeks before September 1

    By Damien Morvan5 min read

A deadline that won't move again

France's e-invoicing reform is no longer a distant horizon. Since the finance law that set its calendar, one date has become fixed: September 1, 2026. From that date, every VAT-registered company in France must be able to receive a compliant e-invoice — whether or not it issues e-invoices itself yet.

    2025-09

    Finance law published, calendar confirmed

    2026-09

Mandatory reception of e-invoices for every company

    2027-09

Mandatory issuance extended to SMEs and micro-businesses

    What "being ready" actually means

Receiving a compliant e-invoice requires three things at once: a selected certified e-invoicing platform (PDP), structured formats (Factur-X, UBL/CII) supported by your tools, and a validation workflow that no longer relies on a plain PDF import.

    ⚠ Check before September 1

Without a certified platform selected, a company simply cannot receive the e-invoices its suppliers are about to start issuing.

Expense reports: the frequent blind spot

The reform is usually framed around procurement and supplier invoicing. It directly affects expense reports too: above €150 excl. VAT, a business expense must be backed by a nominative e-invoice, not a simple scanned receipt anymore.

Platforms like SAP Concur or N2F handle collection and approval workflows well. They do not, however, verify whether the received receipt follows the right format, or whether it actually matches the declared expense. That is where content auditing becomes necessary.

    What TEVASOFT CONNECT changes

TEVASOFT CONNECT integrates with your existing T&E platforms to audit receipt compliance as data flows in: recognized format, amount consistency, match with the supplier's certified platform. Concur or N2F remain the flow; TEVASOFT audits what moves through it.

    Before September 1

The calendar will not shift again. Three questions are worth asking now: has a certified platform been chosen? Can your T&E tools recognize a Factur-X file? And above all, who checks that every receipt above €150 excl. VAT actually meets these rules?
